Preview: What To Expect In 2021

The 2019 and 2020 Green Bay Packers benefited from unusually good health and a somewhat fortuitous schedule en route to the NFC championship game, but 26-6 is still 26-6. That’s why anything less than a trip to the Super Bowl would have to be considered a disappointment, especially for a team that returns all but […]

Thursday Thoughts: Jace’s Fate

Green Bay has 13 players from SEC schools on their 53-man roster, but none are from Alabama. Last week’s release of punter JK Scott made that a reality for the first time in years. Here are three more Packers-related thoughts that ran through my mind in recent days: 1) It’ll be interesting to see what […]

Keeping The Dream Alive

The Packers completed their practice squad by re-signing 15 players who were released by the team on cutdown day and adding one new face. Is this the start of something big for these young men, or just a temporary reprieve on the way to their next career? The best way to find out is to […]

Making The Cut 3.0

The preseason is mercifully over, and that means all teams have until Tuesday at 4 ET to get down to the 53-player limit. Here’s my final attempt at predicting the Packers’ final roster: QUARTERBACK (2) Aaron Rodgers Jordan Love I doubt there was anything Kurt Benkert could’ve done against the Bills on Saturday to earn […]

10 Quick Things: GB vs. BUF

After rewatching Saturday’s game vs. the Buffalo Bills, here are 10 things worth knowing:   OFFENSE 1) Dominique Dafney had a big catch in the first half, but the coaches won’t be happy with his blocking on the failed 4th and 1 late in the game. The inability to stay in front of his man […]

10 Most Irreplaceable Packers

We all found out last January just how important one player can be to the fortunes of a football team. The season-ending injury to All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari also ended any chance the offensive line had to adequately protect quarterback Aaron Rodgers against Tampa Bay’s ferocious pass rush in the NFC championship game. With […]

Thursday Thoughts: Cautionary Tale

As schools open en masse in the next couple of weeks, it’s hard to believe we live in a country where certain states are actually forbidding mask mandates. Thankfully, more and more sane people are fighting back each day. Just when you think things can’t get any crazier. Anyway, here are some Packers-related thoughts that […]
